Thomas "Tk" Quick

Thomas “Tombo” Quick, 60, of Sneads Ferry NC. passed into eternal life on Friday, May 31, 2024 at The Waters of Greencastle. Tom was born August 5, 1963 in Texas City, Texas to Keith “Buck” and Mary Lou Quick.

After graduation he proudly joined the United States Air Force, where he retired from his last active duty station, Scott Air Force Base on March, 31, 2003. Tom also retired from FAA in 2020. Tom loved serving his country; it was one of his cherished achievements in life. His achievements were numerous while serving . Serving as Air Traffic Controller in both the Control Tower and Rapcon, Watch Supervisor and Non - Commissioned Officer, in Modesto CA, Non-Commissioned Officer Preparatory School, in Minot ND. Rapid City, SD and Bentwaters AFB United Kingdom, Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea as the Terminal Procedures Specialist . He was awarded Air Traffic Control Watch Supervisor of the year while in Elmendorf AK.

Tom received his Associates Degree in Airway Science from Community College of the Air Force along with his Bachelor's Degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He was also an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.

His father, Keith “Buck” Quick’ precedes him.

Survivors are his wife, Farrah; his mother, Mary Lou; one daughter, Mackenzie Quick and son, Larson Quick of Washington; three grandchildren, Violet, Sterling and Soren; three sisters, Kim Ward of Dugger along with Terri (Robert) Phillips, Graysville, Tammy (Edgar) Conramaestre of Terre Haute and one brother, Troy (Dee) Quick of Liberty SC.

Tom will be greatly missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends that are family.

Friends and family may pay their respects on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Holmes Memorial Chapel from 11 a.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. with  Robert Phillips officiating.  Burial will be held at a later date to be announced .
