Thomasina (Brunker) Larr

Thomasina Brunker Larr, 96, of Lewis, IN.,  passed away peacefully at her home on January 11, 2021.  She was born on September 4, 1924 in northern Sullivan County IN to Thomas Stout Brunker and Lydia Catherine (Magdeline) Prior Brunker.  She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grand mother.  She attended Sugar Grove Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Ladies Aid. Thomasina has been a member of Farmersburg First Presbyterian Church for 50 years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Stars for 78 years and a recent member of the Ft.  Harrison Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

She was preceded in death by her former husband Paul Larr in 2013, her sisters Katherine Emmons, Ruth Hollobaugh, Betty Wyatt, a brother James Brunker, and her grandsons Andrew Butler and Noah LaPlante.

Survivors include her daughters Tammy Butler (Larry), Catherine Warner (Ken), sister Margaret McFrye, grandchildren Adam Butler (Melissa), John Warner (Lindsey), Jennifer LaPlante (James), great grandchildren Patrick, Evie and Ruby LaPlante and Conner and Chloe Butler.

She was always ready and eager to help whenever possible. She enjoyed her family, friends, travels, music, and her home. Her memory is eternal and cherished by all who knew her.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on January 15 at Holmes Memorial Chapel.  Visitation will be on January 15 from 11:00 a.m until the time of services.  Burial will be at Westlawn Cemetery in Farmersburg.
