Todd Drake

Todd Alan Drake (age 57) died on November 30, 2023, at his home in Robinson, Illinois. He was born November 2, 1966, in Danville, Illinois to Richard and Sharon (Stuck) Drake. He graduated from North Central High School in 1985, received a B.S. in Social Sciences Education from Indiana State University, and an M.S. in Education Administration from Eastern Illinois University. He resided in Robinson, Illinois for more than 30 years.

Mr. Drake touched the lives of many and was well respected by many students as he taught social studies at Sullivan High School, Bishop Chatard (Indianapolis), and Oblong High School (Oblong, Illinois). He enriched his knowledge by visiting various foreign countries during his summers away from the classroom and was able to impart to his students some of his observations from his travels.

Mr. Drake was musically talented with minimal instruction, learning to play the piano and organ, often without written music. He used his talent for various church services. Throughout his life he was a member of various community and educational organizations.

His grandparents, Mervin and Margaret Drake and Dennis and Betty Stuck, preceded him in death. He is survived by his parents, several uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Private services will be held with interment in Pogue Cemetery, Sullivan County, Indiana. The family has requested that donations be made to Pogue Cemetery in lieu of flowers. Checks should be made out to Pogue Cemetery and can be sent to the funeral home PO Box 275. Sullivan IN 47882
