Robert Anthony (Tony) McCulloch 69 of Hymera, left for heaven early Saturday morning (October 15, 2016) to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was born April 30, 1947 in Sulllivan, Indiana to Robert and Betty Critchfield McCulloch. Survivors include his wife and soulmate Jana Marshall McCulloch, daughters Callie McCulloch Cox, Shelley (and husband Doug) Smith, a brother Kenny (and wife Sonja) McCulloch and grandchildren Morgan Mehlbrech, Tristan Baker, Emma Baker, and yet to be born baby Gracelynn. His very best friend was Larry Mattern. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Diana McCulloch Harvey, and a dearly loved niece Rebecca McCulloch. He was a Marine veteran actively serving in Vietnam for two of four years, a member of the Sullivan First Baptist Church, ABATE Indiana, and a lifetime member of the Shepard-Russell American Legion Post 298. He was employed at Pfizer Inc., retiring after 33 years from his last position as a Security Guard. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, camping, horseback riding, motorcycle riding and vacationing with friends throughout his lifetime. He especially loved his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends at the Legion, as well as his coworkers from Pfizer. He had a special place in his heart for the fallen soldiers he served with, as well as the POWs and the MIA. Visitation will be Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Holmes Memorial Chapel in Sullivan from 5:00 to 8:00pm. Services will be Friday at 11:00 am with Rev. David Cox officiating. Tony was an animal lover, and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the Sullivan Humane Society.
