Ty Marlow, 62 years young, passed into eternal sleep on Sunday, June 16, 2024 with his loving family at his side.
Ty began his life’s journey on October 8, 1961 as the son of Virgil and Joane Stark Marlow. After graduation he went on to build a successful business in the utilities industry, Marlow Utility Service that he was so very proud of, and earned his Associates degree from Ivy Tech. Ty married the love of his life Lori Marlow and they enjoyed 44 years of loving life and raising their family. He was a member of Linton Blue Lodge 560, American Legion post 172, Scottish Rite, Zorah Shrine, R.O.J., Sycamore Country Club, Lifetime member of Vigo County Shrine Club, Greene County Shrine Club, Sullivan County Shrine Club, and Zorah Shrine Hilltoppers.
Ty was a loving, devoted husband, dad, pappy and papaw. His true love in life was his family. He cherished every moment spent with those close to him. Ty enjoyed life and loved sharing his wit and jokester personality with those around him. He was one who enjoyed hosting and those who were his guests were graciously and warmly welcomed with his generous outpouring. He was an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast who spent many miles on his bike taking in the open countryside, with his wife Lori. His passing leaves a huge void in the hearts of his family. He however, leaves an undying love in the hearts of each.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Penny Jo Marlow, and grandson Maison Myers,
Those left to Cherish his memory are his Wife Lori Marlow, children Amie Hay (Mike), Nicki Brown (Buck), Sean Marlow, and James (Haley) Marlow; grandchildren Bryar (Bug) Marlow, Karlie (Cat) Shick, Lillian (Worm) Hay, Eli (Possum) Myers, Jameson (Jamo) Marlow, and Oliver (Ollie) Marlow, a brother Cy Marlow, sisters Cyd Hunter, and Shari Marlow, nephew Chris Marlow, and several great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Holmes Memorial Chapel from 11:00 until 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, with services at 1:00 p.m. with his father-in- law Pastor Robert Sampson officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the Jasonville Legion Post 172, Sons of American Legion.
