Vance Bedwell

Vance Bedwell, 30, of Carlisle, passed away on August 13, 2021 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes.  He was born on February 20, 1991  in Vigo County to Rolland Bedwell and Julie (Nicol) Bedwell Bohnert.  Vance was a 2009 graduate of Sullivan High School, was a member of the Carlisle First Christian Church and had attended the Crossroads Community Church.  Vance was a family man who loved to Golf, go camping, fishing and dirt bikes.  He was employed at Sunrise Coal.  Preceding him in death are his grandparents, Rollie Bedwell Sr, Robert Nicol, Jack Mack, Marilyn Mack, uncles Joe Bedwell, David Bedwell, aunts Debbie Terrell, Susan Bedwell, and a cousin Brock Bedwell.

Survivors include his wife Rachel (Clark) Bedwell whom he married on October 18, 2014, his children Treyton Bedwell, Taylor Bedwell, his parents Rolland (Susan) Bedwell, Julie (John) Bohnert, a brother David (Annie) Bedwell, step sisters,  Jessica (Matt) Dowell, Jennifer (Eric) Barcus, Jaclyn (Eric) Terrell, Molly (Brian) Campbell, Lindsey (Adam) Gremore, Jami (Cory) Dowell, several other family including nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday August 20, 2021 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bill Sam Phegley officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday August 19, 2021 from 4-8:00p.m.. Burial will be at Indian Prairie Cemetery. The family suggest that if friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to a special account for his children’s education.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
