Velsa V Chambers

Velsa V. Chambers, 86, of Shelburn passed away at 10:24pm on March 2, 2014 in Millers Merry Manor in Sullivan. Velsa was born December 20, 1927 in Shelburn to Ira and Myrtle Mae Brickey Houser. She is survived by a son Edward Chambers of Fairbanks, sisters Minnie Sinders and Shirley Wise, brothers Aris, Holly, and Venus Houser, seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death was her parents, a daughter Sharon Creel, sisters Mary Bennett and Arrowana Houser, and brothers Ira and Frank Houser. Velsa's visitation will be Thursday evening from 4:00pm to 8:00pm and Friday from 10:00am until time of service at 2:00pm in Holmes Memorial Chapel of Sullivan with the Rev. Ben Wetherington officiating. Interment will follow in Little Flock Cemetery in Shelburn.
