Wanda Lee (Monroe) Collins

Sullivan

Wanda Lee Collins, 78, of Sullivan, passed away on Wednesday October 20, 2021, at The Gibson Family Hospice in Terre Haute.  She was born in 1943 in Merom  to William Oliver Monroe and Rosealee (Coleman) Monroe.  Wanda was a 1961, graduate of Sullivan High School, was a long time employee at Owens-Brockway and the Sullivan County Park and Lake for the past 10 years. Most importantly, Wanda cherished being a loving grandma of 5 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Preceding her in death are her parents, a daughter Tonja Hiatt, great grandsons Joshua and Joseph Reinhold, brothers Frank, Robert, Paul, William, and Felton Monroe, sisters, Thelma Keene and Katherine Adams.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years Jerry Collins, a son Jay (Kathy) Collins of Homerville, GA, granddaughter Amanda (Conrad) Reinhold of Greenleaf, WI, granddaughter Alicia (Ross) Gardner, their children Hailie, Elijah, Hagan, and Ruxson of  Screven, GA, grandson Logan (Beth) Pearison, their children Sophia and Matison of Sullivan, IN, grandson Juston (Lacey) Collins their children Hunter, Treyton and Wesson, granddaughter Britni (Kyle) Rosebraugh, their children Winston and baby girl of Greenville, SC, Along with her brother Grover (Ruby) Monroe of Sullivan and Son-in-law Brian Hiatt of Sullivan.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at Holmes Memorial Chapel with  Pastor Eddie Hays officiating.  Visitation will be on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services.  Burial will be at Center Ridge Cemetery.
