Wayne Phillips, 90, of Carlisle passed away at Sullivan County Community Hospital on Monday May 12, 2014. He was born on October 28, 1923 to Ira and Hattie Mathews Phillips. He attended the Paxton School, member of the First Christian Church of Carlisle and was a farmer for most of his life. He was preceded in death by his wife Frances I. Phillips on February 7, 2014, and his ten brothers and sisters. Wayne is survived by several nieces and nephews. Services will be at the Shepherd Cemetery at the Shaker Prairie Church on Thursday May 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev Jerry Nash officiating. Holmes Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements .
