William H. “Bill” Norris Jr, 78, a long time resident of Shelburn, was welcomed home to his Heavenly mansion on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 with those he cherished at his side. His journey in life began on March 5, 1948 in Indianapolis, Indiana the son of the late William and Jennie Marie Norris. He was a graduate of North Central high School class of 1966. Following graduation he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He married his loving wife, Diana Pugh on June 29, 1969. Together they devotedly raised their two children and doted on their grand and great-grandchildren. He was a member of the Shelburn United Methodist Church. His faith was strong and his love for Christ was his guide for his pathway in life. He was a dedicated part of Bemis Company until his retirement.
Bill was an extremely talented woodworker. From building his home, to building cabinet's he was gifted with the ability to precisely make anything that was needed. His precision and craftsmanship were evident in all his work. His easy going manner and ability to make everyone feel at ease in his presence was just a small part of who he was. His family were invaluable to him. His love knew no bounds and was unconditional. He leaves a legacy to be passed down many generations to come.
Anxiously awaiting his arrival were his parents; sister in-law, Linda Norris, along with his fur baby, Bella.
Those here to carry on his legacy of love are his loving wife, Diana Pugh Norris; beloved children, Trent Norris (Jamie) and Tricia Walker (Kenny); siblings, John Norris and Judy Norris; grandchildren, Finley Norris, Tre Norris (Caitlin Wilson), Sophie Norris, Rae Brenton(Caleb), D-Chaun Taylor, Katelynn Brant (Joseph), Kendra Walker, Jaidan Templeton, Stephanie Jones, and Sierra Templeton; great-grandchildren, Skylar Walker, Wilson Norris, Wyler Norris, Eden Jones, Gabriel Brenton, and Charlie Bill Brant. His well loved fur baby Mia, along with nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Friends and family may pay their respects at Holmes Memorial Chapel, on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 from 6:00 pm. until 8:00 pm. with visitation from 12:00 pm. on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 until time of service at 1:00 pm. with Minister Norman Santus officiating. Burial will follow at Little Flock Cemetery.
