William Bill Goodman

William Ernest "Bill" Goodman, 78, of Shelburn passed away on Saturday February 2, 2019 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born in Sullivan on April 9, 1940 to Ernest Goodman and Margaret (Hixon) Goodman. Bill was a 1959 graduate of Sullivan High School and had been employed at the State Highway Dept. He was a member of the Sullivan County Shifters Club, enjoyed restoring antique automobiles, but he loved his family the most.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Alice Ann (Marshall) Goodman, whom he married on May 11, 1963; sons Doug Goodman, Shelburn, Jeff (Stephanie) Goodman, Sullivan, daughter Stacey Riggs, Shelburn, brothers Joe (Diane) Goodman, Jack (Francie) Goodman, sisters Sheila (Randy) Dehnam grandchildren, Hannah Riggs, Logan Goodman, Keith Riggs, Erich Goodman, great-grandchild Annie Goodman, several nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Services will be at 7:00p.m. on Thursday February 7, 2019 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev. Don Ransford officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. untill the time of services. The family suggest that if friends so desire memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, envelopes will be avialable at the funeral Home. Burial will take place at a later date.
