William Bill Prose

William "Bill" Allen Prose, 83 of Sullivan passed away at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis at 10:15am on Friday, May 6, 2016. He was born February 25, 1933 in Sullivan County to Elmer and Marie Behem Prose.

Bill is survived by his wife Katherine Knotts Prose who he married February 12, 1956, daughter Brenda (Mark) Phillips, son Chuck (Jerri) Prose, grandchildren Travis (Lauren) McKinley), Julie (Matt) Ridgeway, Jay (Lisa) Phillips, Todd (Sylvia) Phillips, Kelley Phillips and companion, Eric Prose, great-grandchildren Ben, Adam and Maggie McKinley, Mason and Clay Ridgeway, and Jayla, Jakayla, Nick and Nate Phillips. Preceding him in death were his parents, a sister Betty Clark, daughter Lisa Ann Prose McKinley, and great grandsons Lance Justin McKinley and Joshua Joa Barker.

Bill was a retired carpenter and farmer, member of the American Legion, Farm Bureau, Rose Chapel Church, and a veteran of the Korean War 1954-1956.

Services will be Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at 11:00am at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Pastors Jan Bond and Norman Santus officiating. The visitation will be Tuesday, May 10th from 4:00pm until 8:00pm. Interment will be is Oddfellows Cemetery in Carlisle. The family ask in lieu of flowers donations be made to Oddfellows Cemetery. Envelopes available at funeral home.
