Alice Ann Goodman, 80, of Shelburn, passed away on January 13, 2022 at home with her family by her side. She was born in Shelburn on May 31, 1941 to William Orville Marshal and Frances Evelyn (Woodsmall) Marshal. Alice was a loving mother, grandmother and a friend to everyone she knew and worked with. She was a 1959 graduate of the first class of North Central High and had gone on to further her education at ISU. She started her career in Indianapolis working for International Harvester, then ran the Goody 2-Shoes Dance Studio for over 20 years and then became the Director of the Thunderettes at North Central High School. Alice Ann had been the Sullivan County Treasurer, worked at the Shelburn Water office; a member of the Delta Theta Tau Sorority and the First Baptist Church in Shelburn. Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband William Goodman in 2019 and a brother Billy Joe Marshal.
Survivors include her three children Doug Goodman of Shelburn, Jeff (Stephanie) of Sullivan, Stacy Riggs of Shelburn, grandchildren Hanna Riggs, Logan Goodman, Erich Goodman, Keith Riggs, and 2 great-grandchildren, Annie Goodman and William Goodman.
There will be private services planned at a later date for her immediate family and friends. Holmes Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements. Burial will take place at Little Flock Cemetery.
