Betty Ruth Blann

Betty Ruth Blann, 87, of Sullivan, passed away at Millers Merry Manor Assisted Living with her family by her side, on June 16, 2022.  Special thanks to her nieces Pam and Patty for their wonderful care. She was born in Dugger, IN, on July 6, 1934 to Homer Gilham and Lela Brewer Gilham.   Betty was a 1952, graduate of Dugger High School. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She was a member of the Sullivan First Christian Church, Tri Kappa Sorority, The Golden Girls Golf League, Sullivan Elks and the American Legion Auxiliary.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jim Blann, brothers Amos, Rene, Henry and Everett and sisters Chloe Webster, Pheobe Crooks, and Anna Mae Schenck.

Survivors include her sons Mike and Marty Blann of Sullivan, Mark and Dee Blann, of Brazil, grandchildren Brook and Tom Hanks, Blake Blann, Derek Blann, Brandon Blann, and Cassidy Blann, great grandchildren Spencer and Sam Hanks, several nieces, nephews, and other relatives, friends and family.

Services will be on Monday, June 20, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Holmes Memorial Chapel.  Visitation will be on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services.  Burial will follow at Shaker Prairie Cemetery.
