Obituary
Betty Lou Enochs-Scales formerly of Hymera passed away at a beautiful age of 95 years old. Betty was born in Antioch Indiana on February 5, 1928, to John and Bessie Scales and left us to be reunited with her husband James Wilson on March 26, 2023. She is preceded in death by her parents John (1977) and Bessie Scales (1976) her late husband James Wilson Enochs (1988), brother Gerald Scales (2003), and sons Wilson Dean Enochs (2020) and Rick Gene Enochs (2015).
She left behind sisters, Zada Barnett, Georgie (Don) Hutchinson and Rosemary Keller; sons Jerry Lee (Diane) Enochs, Kenneth Scott and James Lee (Amanda) Enochs; grandchildren Geneva (Harold) West, Teena (Jeff) Rowe, Jimmy (Brenda) Enochs, Ronnie (Connie) Enochs, Nicole (Andy) Roan, Akira Enochs, Emalyn Enochs, Addison Enochs, Donte Enochs and many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
The funeral will take place at Holmes Memorial Chapel - 642 W Silver St, Sullivan, IN June 17 at 2PM with a gathering at First Baptist Church in Hymera following.
To honor Betty Lou’s memory, we are holding a celebration of her life on June 17th 2023 at 3pm at the Hymera Baptist Church at 402 E Jackson St, Hymera, IN. We invite anyone that who knew Betty to attend and remember her wonderful and beautiful life. All the family would ask is that when you come, come with a smile, and enjoy the life we had with Betty Lou and share the long and wonderful stories of her.
