Sullivan,
Betty Lou Snyder Hauger went home to worship at the feet of her sweet Jesus, on Monday June 19, 2023 at her home with her loving family surrounding her. She was born in Sullivan IN to Raymond and Eunice Hinton Snyder on September 3,1942. Betty was a member of the graduating class of North Central 1960. She was a long time member of the Shelburn Church of God, where she was a “Willing Worker” in any aspect she was needed. She was the Nursery Sunday School class teacher for 30 years, Sunday School Superintendent along with teaching Whirley Birds Wednesday night classes for years. Most recently she attended Samaria church in Dugger. Betty first and foremost loved God and loved sharing his goodness and gospel to all she met.
She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and most recently great grandmother. She adored her grandchildren and loved spending time doting on them. She married the love of her life Bruce Hauger on April 10, 1981. She looked forward to her annual trips to Florida to Sanibel Island . She enjoyed cooking, gardening and canning her home grown produce . She loved hosting all the holidays and Sunday dinners, for her family to gather and make lifetime memories.
She was preceded by her parents along with siblings Donnie Snyder (Patty), Judy Ward (Bill); brother in-law Micky Rilenge and grandson, Ross Marts. Those remaining to cherish her memory are her husband, Bruce; daughters, Pamela Sue Beaver Colglazier (Brad), Leigh Ann Beaver Dinkens (Larry); sister, Linda Rilenge; grandchildren, Justin Worley (Nikki), Chris Marts (Jacki), Keshua Marts Edwards (Dustin) and Savana Strain along with 6 great grandchildren.
Services will be at Holmes Memorial Chapel on Saturday June 24, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. with Reverend Monty Goodman officiating .
Visitation will be on Friday June 23, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest at Little Flock cemetery.
