Brenda Kay Grubaugh, 74, went to be with the Lord peacefully, Thursday February 2, 2023, at her residence with her loving family beside her. Brenda was born December 7, 1948 to Pete (Harold) and Betty Stearly - Boles Grubaugh in Sullivan Co.
Brenda was a 1967 graduate of Sullivan high school. She retired from North American Latex after 17 years of service. She was also a member of Hutsonville IL Tree of Life Church. She was an long time active member of the Sullivan Clown Ministry that visited various nursing homes, Parades, children’s hospitals and where ever a smile was needed. She was also a Beta Sigma Phi sorority member.
She loved spending time with her family and friends, always had a bright smile and loving laugh to share. She loved going anywhere any time someone said lets go! Preceding her in death are her Father, one sister, Janice (Micheal) Garrett, along with a nephew, Dirk Pounds.
Surviving her is her Mother; bonus brother, Ronnie Moore, a very special niece, Amber (Paul Lockard) Westerkamm, Shad (Terri) Pounds, Tia (Jerry) Roessler, several great nieces and nephews of whom, Lacey (Travis) Snapp and great- great nephew Maddox were lovingly close to her.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 9, 2023, at Holmes Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be Thursday, from 11:00 a.m. until the times of service, with Pastor Greg Decker officiating . Burial will follow at Center Ridge cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help out with expenses. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. There will be a memorial dinner following services at the cemetery at the City Park Shelter house.
