Cathy Jo (Trump) Compton

Cathy Jo Compton, 65, of rural Hymera, passed away at Terre Haute Regional Hospital on October 6, 2021.  Cathy was born on April 24, 1956 to Bennie Junior Trump and Wilma Jean (House) Trump. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Thomas (Tom) Trump, brother in-law Ron Weir, and her beloved son Jason Randal Compton.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years Randy Compton, daughter in-law Kim Compton, her 2 sons Kyle Compton (Sierra), James Compton (Kimberly), 10 grandchildren Miranda Compton, Hunter Compton, Isaac Compton, Kyler Compton, Thomas Compton, Jordan Williams, Nevaen Compton, Emma Compton, Gavin Compton, Alex Compton; 2 sisters, Jackie Weir, Vickie Haseman, several beloved nieces and nephews.

Cathy was a retired RN. She worked many years in outpatient surgery at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. In her free time she enjoyed her bible study group, spending time with her family, her grandchildren and shopping.  Cathy was also a member of New life Fellowship Church of Seelyville, IN.

Services for Cathy will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday October 14, 2021 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Revs. Jeff Harpole and Norman Santus officiating.  Visitation will be at Holmes on Wednesday from 4- 8:00 p.m. Burial will be at K of P Cemetery in Hymera.  The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Autism Society of Indiana in Honor of Cathy’s grandson.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
