Cathy Tackett

Cathy Tackett, 75, of Sullivan passed away on March 15, 2022 at Millers Merry Manor in Sullivan.  She was born in Linton IN, on April 12, 1946 to Harry W. Clark and Mary Jane (Noel) Clark.  Cathy was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and a wonderful friend to all who knew her.  She enjoyed sewing, crafts, bingo, music and spending time with her friends and family. In her later years she loved staying in touch by mail, and she loved sending as many personalized cards and letters as possible. She was a homemaker for the majority of her life but did have several successful side businesses as a saleswoman. She also owned and operated a local bait shop in Sullivan with her late husband for a decade.

Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband Kermit “Butch” Tackett, a son Tracy Tackett (Kimberly), a daughter Kristi Tackett, and a brother William Griffin and great-granddaughter Casey McCammon.

Survivors include her daughters, Cara Meng (John), Tammi Tackett, and Samantha Miller (Jeff), brothers Kevin Griffin (Connie), Kirk Griffin (Shawn), and Kerry Griffin, grandchildren Whitney Sexton (Brent), Megan Oquendo (Jonathan), Connor Tackett, Levi Tackett, Sommer Grimes, Santana Grimes, Brittany Meng, Ashlie Meng, Bailey Meng, Kegan Meng, Sarah Maak (James), Tarah Knowles, Rachel Shields, Josie Shields, Johnathan Shields, great-grandchildren Layla Tackett, Draven Power, Jordan Milner, Kayde Reeves, Ellis Tomey, Trace Pugh, Kynlee Creech, Stiles Brunton, Landon Maak, Caroline Maak, Halie Williamson, Kennedy Williamson and several nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

Services will be on Tuesday March 22, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Holmes Memorial Chapel with John Meng reading the eulogy. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services.  Burial will be in Worthington Cemetery, Worthington, IN.
