Christy (Shorter) Chenoweth

Christy Chenoweth, 60, of Merom,  passed away on Tuesday September 14, 2021 at  IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.  She was born in Sullivan County on October 22, 1960 to Howard Shorter and Ginger A (Ault) Shorter.  She was a 1978 graduate of Sullivan High School, was a secretary for the Operating Engineers, and had became a loving mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her mother. 

Survivors include her father, her husband Monte Chenoweth, a daughter Shane (Rick) Monroe of Carlisle, sons Caleb (Cora Jo) Owings of Sullivan, Todd (Laura) Chenoweth of Sullivan, and Jacob Chenoweth of Spring Lake, NC. Christy is also survived by a sister Sindi (Brent)Thompson of New Lebanon, a brother Ronnie (Alice) Shorter of Sullivan, 8 grandchildren, Chase, Logan and Ava Monroe, Paige and Levi Chickadaunce, Aiden and Sophia Chenoweth and Trevor Torres, several nieces and nephews and other family and friends who she loved dearly. 

Services to celebrate her life will be at a later date.
