Craig Gardner

Craig A. Gardner, 49, of Terre Haute, IN, formerly of Farmersburg, passed away at Regional Hospital on March 31, 2023. He was born on April 21, 1973, in Terre Haute to Larry Gardner and Patricia (Russell) Gardner.

Craig was a 1992 graduate of North Central High School. He went on to receive a bachelor's degree in criminology from Indiana State University and received an associate degree in computer technology from Ivy Tech. He had spent many years working as a behavioral health technologist.

Craig was in the process of completing his master's in counseling at Indiana State University and an internship with FSA Counseling. He had a passion for counseling and helping others; he had volunteered for the Red Cross and traveled to Hungary for mission work. He enjoyed working out, playing the guitar, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Gardner.

Craig leaves behind his mother, Patricia Gardner (Jim McCammon) of Farmersburg; father and stepmother, Larry Gardner (Susan) of Terre Haute; siblings, Jill Peterson (Mark) of Shelburn, Brad Gardner (Rochelle) of Terre Haute, and Bill Gardner (Lorna) of Danville; stepbrother, Mickey Adkins (Dawna) of Willisville, IL; several nieces and nephews. Craig will be missed by many friends.

Services to celebrate his life will be at 7:00 p.m. on Friday April 7, 2023 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev Ray Anderson officiating.  The family would like friends to come and share stories in remembrance of Craig.  Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services. The Family suggest that in lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to help out families of the recent tornado that  came through town.
