David Maurice Alumbaugh passed away peacefully on Tuesday November 17, 2021 at his home. He was born in Dugger on June 28, 1942 to Charles and Claira Bell Fuller Alumbaugh. David moved to Hymera in 1975 where he raised his family with Debbie (Money) Alumbaugh. David worked for Dodds Pallet Mill for almost 40 years before he retired. When he wasn’t working David loved spending time hunting, fishing or just enjoying nature at the Valley Field and Stream Hunting Club. He is preceded in death by his parents and a son David “Sonny” Alumbaugh.
Survivors include his children Lori (Gordon) Waite of Virginia Beach VA, Sue (Dave) Robertson of Hymera, Herman (Alicia) Alumbaugh of Carlisle, grandchildren, Alicia, Trey, Jaylynn, Loei and Bryce, brother, Fenton Alumbaugh of Shelburn, sisters Debbie Cooley of Hymera, Diane Monk, several nieces, nephews along with friends that Dave loved like family.
David’s passing will leave many people, including the Money Family, with a missing piece in their heart, but his memory and kind loving words will always remain, but “By Golly” “We will miss him”.
Services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday November 20, 2021 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Pastor Ben Weatherington officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services.
