Everett “Bud” Rea Jr, 78, of Sullivan, went to his heavenly home on Sunday May 7, 2023. Everett was born on February 21,1945, in Sullivan, IN to Everett Rea Sr. and Betty (Heady) Rea. He was a 1963 graduate of Sullivan High School. He went on to further his education with a degree in electronics. In his early years he worked for Tindall’s TV and Appliance for 10 years as a repairman, later joining Hoosier Energy, from which he retired after 30 years of service. He married his loving wife of 58 years Linda (Orr) Rea in 1965. Bud was a devoted christian, loving husband, father and grandfather, faithfully sharing his beliefs. He enjoyed reading his Bible and time spent in prayer.  He was a faithful attender First Pentecost Church with Pastor Willis Ross, where he received his firm foundation in God.                                     

Preceding him in death were his parents, his son Brian Rea along with sister, Betty (Sis) Leach. Surviving him are his wife Linda; daughter Lisa Rea Houser and husband Gene of Williston FL; grandchildren, Samantha (Andrew) Woroszylo of Carlisle,  Jessica ( Anthony) Woroszylo of Sullivan, Natalie, Nathan and Katy Houser all of Williston FL; great grandchildren, AnnaFaye Rea, Oliver and Oxford Getchell. 

Graveside services will be at Center Ridge cemetery Wednesday May 10, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. with Minister Steve Blaydes officiating.

Holmes Memorial Chapel were entrusted with the arrangements.
