Freda Hoffner, 95, of Sullivan passed away on Saturday March 13, 2021 at her son’s home surrounded by her family. She was born in Bruceville IN., on May 17, 1925 to Roscoe Hulen and Violet (Banks) Hulen. Freda was a 1943 graduate of Bruceville High School, and married James Hoffner on February 10, 1945 and became a loving mother, grandmother and a great-grand mother. She was the Clerk Treasurer of the city of Sullivan for 8 years and had worked at the Sullivan State Bank for several years. She was a member of the Sullivan Eastern Stars, Past Worthy Matron and the Sullivan First United Methodist Church. She loved visiting the casino’s and playing cards, especially Euchre. Preceding her in death are her parents, husband James Hoffner in 2006, and a sister Marjorie Loheider.
Survivors include her children Paul Hoffner (Marsha Monk), James (Donna) Hoffner, Phyllis (Bruce) Cochran, Nancy (Gary) Smith, 6 grandchildren, Lisa Gallagher, Christian Wilson, Springer Estrada, Jarrett Smith, Sarah Chapman, Aaron Hoffner, great grandchildren, Morgan Chapman, Connor Brundige, Kate Hoffner, Ashton Wilson, Caitlyn Smith, Caden Estrada, Gage Estrada Sabre Estrada, nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday March 18, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Holmes memorial Chapel with Mary Ann Waldemeir officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be at Center Ridge Cemetery. The family suggest that if
