Obituary

 

George “Bob”  Miller, 92, of Shelburn, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2023 at his home. He was born in Sullivan County on November 24, 1930, to George Thomas Miller and Macel Zink Miller. He was a 1948 graduate of  Hymera High School. After graduation he attended ISU, joined the United States Army; was awarded the distinguished Bronze Star for his outstanding heroism. He married Edith Hutchison Miller in 1951.  He went on to become a mechanic for Pfizer Pharmaceutics, where he was a maintenance foreman. Bob was an avid St Louis Cardinal fan never missing a game and also a member of Shelburn American Legion Post # 397. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife and a grandson, Andy Miller.

 

Surviving him are his children Robert Anthony “Tony” Miller and Brian Keith Miller; grandson, Shawn Miller; great grandchildren, Ben, Wyatt and McKenzee.

 

Services will be at the graveside on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at Little Flock cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Holmes Memorial Chapel were entrusted with arrangements.
