Gerald Lee Boyll Jr.

Gerald Lee Boyll Jr.,  known his whole life as Jay, passed away on January 8, 2022, at his home in Farmersburg after a short illness. He was 61 years old at the time of his death. Jay was born on September 18, 1960, to Gerald Lee “Jerry” Boyll and Joyce Elaine (Thompson) Boyll. He was the third of six sons in a very close family.

Jay attended Farmersburg Elementary and was a 1978 graduate of North Central High School. Later he obtained a business degree from Indiana Business College. Jay worked for several years at Cornerstone Property Management, where he made many friends.

Jay was an avid sports fan, particularly of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Indianapolis Colts. He was a devoted member of Friendship Baptist Church in Farmersburg.

Jay is survived by his parents; by his children Tara (Cory) Pearison of Sullivan, Jamie Greathouse of Terre Haute, Mark (Mandy) Roberts of Sullivan: by 5 brothers, Jeff of Terre Haute, Ron (Peggy) of Greenwood, Randy (Kelly) of Farmersburg, Todd (Michelle) of Sullivan, Tim (Samantha) of Tampa FL, and by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday January 14, 2022 at Holmes Memorial Chapel  with Pastor Jim Larger officiating.  Visitation will be on Thursday January 13, 2022 from 4-8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations in Jay’s honor be made to the Friendship Baptist Church building fund.
