Ivaline Florence (Youngman) Dorrill

Ivaline F. (Youngman) Dorrill, 83, of Dallas, Texas, formerly of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away on April 8, 2022 at Mesquite Tree Nursing Center in Mesquite, Texas.  She was born on April 15, 1938 to Ivan E. and Della C. (Blance) Youngman. She graduated from Merom High School in Merom in 1956.  As a young woman she worked at the Goodie Shop in downtown Terre Haute. During the 1970s and 80s she was a secretary at ISU in Terre Haute. In Dallas she retired after serving as a medical secretary for Parkland Hospital in the late 1980s through the 2000s. She was very active in her church as a dedicated volunteer for a food-bank, helping to meet the needs of the underprivileged in the Dallas community.

Surviving are her partner, Jacob Ramirez of Dallas, Texas; her stepdaughter, Rebecca Dorrill Thomas of Madison, Wisconsin; two nephews, Daryl Lee Youngman of O'Fallon, Missouri and Duane Lee Youngman of St. Peters, Missouri; adopted daughter Chrissy Jones of  Dallas, Texas; and many beloved friends and adopted grandkids. She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Eulan Dorrill, Sr.; her brother Cecil G. Youngman, and by her parents.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday April 21, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in Holmes Memorial Chapel, Sullivan, Indiana. Visitation will be on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be at Merom Cemetery.
