James Alexander

James Allen “ Jim” Alexander slipped peacefully into eternal life on Sunday, June 18, 2023, at home, with his loving family by his side.

He was born in Sullivan IN, to Robert and Louise Dulaney Alexander, on January 31, 1961. He married his loving wife Terri Cox Alexander on September 1, 2007. He was a member of Shaker Prairie Christian Church, a member of the SHS Class of 1980, past member and officer of the Sullivan County Garden Tractor Pullers and also the 5 o’clock Brew Crew. His greatest accomplishments and loves were his family, he enjoyed life spending time camping, fishing, hunting and most of all restoring old tractors to their former glory. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bobby Alexander; nieces, Adrian Alexander and Christina Stevens; nephews, Landon Vaughn and Mitchel Ridge; brother in-law, Fred Spinks.

Surviving him are his wife, Terri; children, Dalyn Alexander (Crystal) and Bailey Alexander; bonus children, Kristen Ridgway (Casey) and Jordan May (Molly); siblings, Kaye Pound, Ruthanne Alexander, George Alexander, Chuck Alexander, Helen Monroe(Kim), Sara Jensen (Tony), Nina Spinks ; sister in law, Judy Alexander; 10 grandchildren and Several nieces and nephews.

Services will be Friday June 23, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at Holmes Memorial Chapel, with Pastor Bill Sam Phegley officiating.  Visitation  will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of services. Jim will be laid to rest at Odd Fellows cemetery following service.
