James Everett "Buck" Riggins Jr.

James Everett “Buck” Riggins Jr. 81, of Farmersburg passed away on Wednesday June 23, 2021 with his family by his side.  He was born on June 25, 1939 in Farmersburg to James Everett Riggins and Viola (Copeland) Riggins. James was a 1957 graduate of Farmersburg High School, he loved spending time with his family, friends and  enjoyed sports especially the Cubs. According to his wife Freda he was the most patient man she had ever met.  James retired from GE Aviation as a shipping and receiving clerk. Preceding him in death are his parents, 2 sisters Shirley Riggins, and Donna Wright.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years  Freda (Jeffers) Riggins, whom he married on June 1, 1963, his sons Ryan (Andrea) Riggins and Rob Riggins, a grandson Michael Riggins and several nieceses nephews and other family and friends.

Services to celebrate his life will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday July 1, 2021 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Pastor Don Ransford officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services.   The family suggest that if friends so desire memorial contributions may be made to Kindred Hospice, 4122 S 7th St Terre Haute IN. 47802 envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
