Jessie C Cooley

Jessie C. Cooley, 75, of Hymera passed away surrounded by his family on Friday August 25, 2023. He was born on March 19, 1948, in Gravel Switch Kentucky to Taylor Robinson and Dorothy Lou Cooley.  Jessie served over 20 years in the United States Army, and is a retired Construction Laborer of the Local 204 Union. He was a family man, an avid coon hunter, race car lover, and there were very few engines/vehicles that he was unable to fix.

Survivors include his wife Debbie Cooley, sons Jessie Cooley (Mandy) and Jonah Cooley, a daughter Amber Cooley, brother Roy Cooley, sister Jean Bose, Grandchildren Jaycee Noel (Andrew), Jade Cooley, Gracie Cooley, Gauge Cooley, Katelyn Cooley, Alexandrea El Mouher (Younes), Audrey Guzman (Carlos), Brylee Coleman, Garrett Cooley, and several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In honor of Jessie’s beloved dog Bugsie the family has asked that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Sullivan County Humane Society, or to the family to help out with final expenses. 

The family is planning a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date.
