Judy Kay (Bedwell) Zaayer

Judy Kay Zaayer, 76, of Carlisle, passed away on Friday May 26, 2023, at her home.  She was born on August 12, 1946 to Don Bedwell and Imogene (Bowen) Bedwell.  She was a 1964 graduate of Carlisle High School and had become an EMT, working for Mary Sherman Hospital, Carlisle Ambulance and the Breed Power Plant.  Judy was a member of the Carlisle First Christian Church, loved to crochet, work puzzles, and read. The most important things for Judy were her family and taking care of their needs along with helping her friends. Preceding her death are her parents, and her husband Billy Ray Zaayer. 

Surviving are her children, Todd (Myra) Bedwell, of Sullivan, Sean Zaayer of Carlisle, Stormi Zaayer and her companion Kevin Drake of Carlisle, a brother Donnie Bedwell, sisters Donna Morrison, Ruth (Robert Crash) Williams, Kathryn Smith, Laura (Bob) Koenig, grandchildren, Brittney Boone, Chelsey (Kole) Kleve, Sydney Drake and her companion Charles Humble, Austin Drake, Tiara (James) McCammon, great grandchildren Braxton, Brenden, Silvie, Landrie, Laken, Aleah, Lilly, Blakely, Brooklyn, several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.  

Services to Celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday July 8, 2023 at the Carlisle First Christian with Brother Bill Sam Phegley officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Private burial will be at Indian Prairie Cemetery. Holmes Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
