Marjorie Butler, 86, of Sullivan passed away Wednesday September 2, 2020 at Exceptional living in Brazil IN. She was born in Chicago IL., on August 12, 1934 to Miles Kemp Curry and Laura Lucille (Wickline) Curry. Marjorie was a 1952 graduate of Carlisle High School and had gone on to further her education at Vincennes University School of Nursing. She had worked as a switchboard operator, Gossards Department store, farming, and was a Registered Nurse at Oak Village and St. Anthony Hospital. She had been a member of the Southern Baptist Church in Sullivan. Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband William Huston Butler, her brother Miles Kemp Curry Jr., a sister Wilma Riley and other family members.
Survivors include a Son David (Tamarra) Butler of Shelburn, a daughter Tracy (Wayne) Robbins of Virden IL, sister, Velma Livingston of Peru, grandchildren Artishmie (Zachary) Zdrojewski , Wayne Robbins Jr., Alex Butler, great grandchildren, Regan Butler, Kaden Butler, Lexi Butler, Malachi Zdrojewski and several other family and friends.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday September 12, 2020 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev. Charles Wright officiating. Visitation will be of Friday September 11, 2020 from 4-7:00 p.m. Burial will be at Merom Cemetery. We ask, and thank those in attendance, for wearing masks at all times during the visitation and funeral service.
