Marlene Norris

Marlene Faye Norris, 86, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 6, 2023 at her home with loved ones by her side. She was born March 13, 1937, in Sullivan County, to Noah and Grace (Lynch) Southwood. Marlene was a 1955 graduate of Shelburn High School. She had a strong love of god and so many fond memories of the Shelburn Church of God. Marlene owned and operated The Spaghetti House in Sullivan, and then went on to work at Millers Merry Manor where she retired at the age of 84. Marlene loved working outside, but nothing compared to her love of her family and being with her grandchildren. She played a pivotal role in raising two of her grandsons Matt and Kyle Weust.

She is preceded in death by her Parents, a brother Gary Southwood, and a sister Barbara Kilcoin.

Those left to cherish her memory are, her son Tony Norris (Sharon), Daughter Bev Sharp Hooper (Ben), Brother Jay Southwood (Nikki), Sisters Jan Pugh (Kenny), and Judy Miller (Terry), Sister in Law Nancy Southwood, as well as 5 Grandchildren and 13 Great-grandchildren.

Visitation and Services will be at Farmersburg Westlawn Cemetery in the Chapel, with visitation scheduled for Friday, November 10, 2023 from 1 to 2 p.m. and Service to follow with Pastor Don Ransford officiating.
