Naomi Grace (Orman) Pounds

Naomi Grace (Orman) Pounds, went to be with the Lord on Saturday September 16, 2023 at the age of 93. With her loving family by her side. She was born on June 26, 1930, in Terre Haute, IN to Charles and Sadie (Price) Orman.

She leaves behind a beautiful empire, including her 4 children, Rick (Jana) Pounds, Hank Pounds and Jody (Jay) Baker all of Graysville, along with Traci (Buck) Wright of Sullivan. She leaves behind 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 7 great- great grandchildren with 3 more babies on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Sadie Orman, her sister, Mildred Klein, her husband, Ross Pounds,  grandson, Dirk Pounds and great-grandson Knox Pounds.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking every Sunday,  where lifetime memories were made around the table. She was also an avid reader and hard worker on the family farm. She was very proud of all of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Her life was centered around making sure they had everything they needed. She loved to dance and spent most Fridays going dancing with her friends after work. We look forward to dancing with her again as we reach Heaven’s gates. 

Services will be held at Holmes Memorial Chapel, Thursday, September 21, 2023 at 1:00 pm with Josh Reeves officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 am. until time of service. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Johnson cemetery.
