Patricia (Higgins) Cook

Patricia Ann Cook, 68, of Shelburn, passed away at Regional Hospital on August 6, 2023. She was born on October 5, 1954, in Sacramento, CA., to Joseph and Phyllis (Thomas) Higgins. Patricia served in the United States Navy following graduation.  She married Donald Ray Cook on December 20, 1973. He preceded her on April 9, 2022, after 49 years of marriage. In her leisure time, she enjoyed playing Bingo, diamond art, and crocheting, but most of all, she cherished time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a proud member of Sullivan American Legion Post # 139.

Preceding in death are her parents, Joseph Higgins and Phyllis Moore; husband, Donald Cook; siblings, Donald Higgins, Joseph Higgins, and Louis Rioux; granddaughter, Brittany Moore.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Christina A. Moore (Homer) and Tanya R. Dodson (Joseph); sons, Justin L. Cook (Taylor) and Jordan R. Cook; siblings, Janet Perry, Pam Tameo (Frank), Linda Furtado, Rene Rioux (Jodie), Robin Snyder (Devon), Penny Rioux. Rebecca Rioux (Richard); grandchildren, Ashleigh S. Strain, Joshua A. Jones (Donielle) and Mikaella L. Strain (Hunter); great-grandchildren Braelyn, Addison, McKenna, Cameron, Adalynn, Raeleigh, Asher, Kaysen, and baby Thurston. Along with several nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be at Holmes Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, with Military Services at 6:00 pm.
