Phillip Morrison, 85, of Shelburn, passed away June 6, 2022, at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born in Sullivan, IN. He was the son of Homer H Morrison & Perlena G ( Haskett) Morrison. Phil was a graduate of Sullivan High School class of 1956. He was owner and operator of Morrison Towing Service for 40 years, 50 year member of the Order of Eastern Stars #188, 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge #263 where he was Master 7 times. He was also a member of Sullivan Moose Lodge, Sullivan Elks, Sullivan County Shrine Club and Zorah Shrine.
Phil was an avid racing and antique car fan. Having driven a race car at a younger age, He loved anything to do with cars. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He married the love of his life Donna (Bedwell) Morrison June 26, 1957, they spent 65 wonderful years together, she survives him, along with his sons Robert (Peggy) Morrison of Farmersburg Homer Bradley Morrison, of Shelburn, daughter, Dana (Jay) Dix of Shelburn & Son in-law Mark Myers, 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews and other close family members.
Preceding him in death were his daughters and son in-law Ellen (Mark) Dressler, Mary Myers and grandson Vincent Jay Johnson, great grandchild Infant Dressler, brothers Harry ( Betty)(Helen) Morrison & Alfred (Helen)Morrison.
Services will be at Holmes Memorial Chapel at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 10, 2022, with Pastor David Cox officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday evening June 9, from 4-8 p.m. Masonic services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Center Ridge Cemetery.
