Racheal Willis Christy Daugherty left this life on March 22, 2023. She was born on December 18, 1924, to Gladys Oqual Blevins Willis and Thomas Roy Willis. She was the middle child of seven siblings. Racheal married her High School sweetheart, Paul Edward Christy, following his service in WWII. She married Virgil Daugherty in 1997.  Racheal was a lifelong and charter member of the Wabash Valley Home Economics Club, a member of Rose Chapel United Methodist Church and the Dairymen’s Cooperative. She enjoyed playing bunco, bowling, gardening and spoiling her daughters and families. Racheal was known far and wide for the coconut cream pies she prepared for multiple civic and church events.

Preceding her in death are her mother, father, her husbands, and her six siblings, Ruth (James) Moore, Bill (Earline) Willis, Alice (Kenneth) Christy, Barbara June (Robert) Brown, Floyd Willis and Patricia (Robert) Wheeler ; also her son in law Paul Dudley Prather.

She is survived by her daughters, Julia Prather, Rita (David) McCammon, four grandchildren, Emily( Mike McCormick), Brad (Jackie) Prather, Christy (Jason) Habermel, Royce (Heather) McCammon along with 7 great grandchildren, Aidan McCormick, Owen Habermel Ella McCormick, Rainey McCammon, Porter Prather, Cecilia Prather and Aubrey Habermel, her sister in law, Mary Willis and too many nieces and nephews to name.
