Robert “Bob” Blackburn, 77, passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2021, at Union Hospital.  He was born in Petersburg, IN, on November 24, 1943, to Lewis Blackburn and Edith Allene (Campbell) Blackburn.  Bob had worked for the Sullivan County Highway Department for 34 years.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, western shows, and he loved his animals.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Vickie Jo (Loveless) Blackburn whom he married on January 13, 1973; son Monty Loveless (Tomella), daughters Amy Emmons, Shelly Huffington (James), Kelly Hauser (Michael), a brother Dan Blackburn, a sister Hazel Beasley, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family and several close friends.

Services to celebrate his life will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday October 15, 2021, at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Terry Dowell officiating.  Visitation will be on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services.  Burial will be at a later date.
