Robert “Bob” Clayton Rhoads, 74 of Carlisle, passed away on January 28, 2021 at Sullivan County Community Hospital. He was born in Sullivan County on December 5, 1946 to Robert Clayton Rhoads and Maxine (Wilkes) Rhoads. He was a 1966 graduate of Sullivan High School and a graduate of the Nazarene Bible College. Bob was a retired minister who loved spreading the Gospel of Jesus. He had preached in Newberry IN, Divine TX, Rockport IN, Sullivan, Bloomington, and Ridgley MO. Bob enjoyed fishing, his family, truck, and tractor pulls. He loved his profession, camping and meeting people. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Myrna McCammon Rhoads, whom he married December 10, 1966, his step mother Carol CJ Rhoads, sons, Brad (Tracy) Rhoads, of Sullivan Brian Rhoads, Merom, Brent Rhoads of Sullivan, a brother Terry Rhoads of FL, several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 1, 2021 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bill Sam Phegley officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be at Center Ridge Cemetery.
