Robert “Bobby” Olin Heidenreich 77 of Carlisle, IN. passed peacefully into his eternal life on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at The Waters of Sullivan. Bobby was born on June 3, 1945, to John Robert Heidenreich and Mary (Faught) Heidenreich, in Los Angeles CA. He was a graduate of Sullivan High School class of 1963. Bobby enlisted in the US Navy from 1963-1967 serving on the USS Estes stationed in the Subic Bay, Philippines. After discharge he began a career as a pipefitter and welder. He was a proud union member of Local #157. After his retirement, he spent his summers leisurely enjoying life at Sullivan Park and Lake, where he made his daily rounds on his golf cart, visiting with his many camping friends. He also enjoyed fishing, NASCAR racing and was an avid Colts fan, never missing a game. He was a member of the Sullivan First Baptist church, Masonic Grand Lodge # 263 , 50 year member, American Legion Post #139 and VFW Post # 2459. He is preceded in death by his parents, John Robert and Mary (Faught) Heidenreich; uncles, Stewart (Red) Faught and William J. Faught.
He is survived by Aunt Margaret (Faught) Cox; cousins, Mike Faught, Reno, NV. Kevin (Kay) Faught, Jacksonville, OR. Joe (Yolanda) Faught, Leander, TX. Steve Faught, Lampasses, TX. Matt ( Rhonda) Faught, Cedar Creek, TX. Ed Faught, Franklin, IN. Bret (Susie) Cox, Sullivan, IN. Cindy (Mike) Lowdermilk, Jupiter, FL. Joie (Bill) Ringer, Brownsburg, IN, along with other extended family.
Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Odd Fellows cemetery, with Pastor Bret Cox officiating. In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorial contributions if you so desire, be made to First Baptist church of Sullivan or, Sullivan VFW post #2459 to aid in rebuilding. envelopes will be available art the grave site.
