Sally Stranahan, 78, of Shelburn passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at her home with her family by her side. She was born in Sullivan, on October 5, 1942, to Archie Paul Robinson and Margaret (Curtis) Robinson.
She was a 1960 graduate of Wiley High School and had became a loving mother, grandmother and a great-grandmother. She had attended the Shelburn First Baptist Church, loved to go camping, fishing, shopping but most important, was traveling with her family.
Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers, Ronnie Robinson, Jim Robinson, Terry Robinson; sister, Peg Shelton; daughter, Margaret Francis “Punkin” Stranahan; grandson, Evan McConnell.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, John Frederick Stranahan, whom she married on April 14, 1961; sons, Jim Stranahan, Pete Stranahan; brothers, Archie Robinson Jr., Steve Robinson; a sister, Kandy (Tony) Miller; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Services will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, August 23, 2021, at Holmes Memorial Chapel, with Pastor Tommy Pearison officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 11 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be at Center Ridge Cemetery.
