Sandra Sue Jones

Sandra Sue Jones, 78, of Fairbanks, passed away at Breckenridge nursing home on Wednesday, November 18, 2021.  She was born in Sullivan on January 31, 1943, to Herbert “Hub” Drake and Helen Elizabeth (Phegley) Drake.  She was a teacher at the Southwest Sullivan School Corporation for 33 years.  She enjoyed going to movies, shopping, exercising, and spending time with her family and friends.

Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, Charles “Bud” Jones; and a grandson, Jordan Jones.

Survivors include her daughter, Krista (Nathan) Jones; a son, Michael (Sherry) Jones; a sister, Mary Jean (Pat) Cregg; grandchildren, Jessica (Daniel) Abolt, Jacob Abolt, Jordan Jones Cole (Riccel) Jones, Carley Jones; great grandchildren, Celine Jones, Logan Mol; and several other family and friends that she cared for.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ron Riggs officiating.  Visitation will be on Tuesday, from 4-8:00 p.m.  Burial will be at Center Ridge Cemetery.
