Saundra Rose (Story) Laughlin

Saundra Rose Laughlin 84, of Sullivan, passed peacefully into her eternal rest on Sunday May 14, 2023 at her residence. Saundra was born on October 4,1938, to James Robert Street and Pauline (Story) Street in Sullivan. She attended Mt. Calvary when she was able.  She was a graduate of Sullivan High School class of 1956.  Saundra was never one to be idle, she ran the Dugger Post for numerous years, was a talented seamstress, that was shown in her business Ruffles Unlimited. She was also owner/operator of  Sullivan Coin Laundry for quite some time. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, whom she cherished and will miss her dearly.

Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband Joe Evan Laughlin, whom preceded her in 1959. Her significant other Roy Raymond Shake in 2000. Great grandchildren, Brooklyn and Laney Crawley and Alfie Jay James. Surviving her are her daughters Paula (Jay) James and Tammy Siepman; brother, Bob (Lela) Street along with her grandchildren, Ashley, Whitney, Jesse, Jeremy, Brandon, Erica and Trent also 14 great grandchildren. 

Graveside services will be Thursday May 18, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Center Ridge cemetery with Rev. Nick Moore officiating.  The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Center Ridge Cemetery Fund.  Holmes Memorial Chapel were entrusted with the arrangements.
