Scott Henry Cox, 63, of Farmersburg, passed away on May 2, 2022 at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born in Sullivan on September 7, 1958, to Gerald Cox and Clara (Wright) Cox. Scott was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and a great friend to the people who he worked with and his customers who he had dealt with over the years while in business. He was the owner of Henry and Son Equipment Repair, located in Shelburn. Scott loved to work on all things mechanical; he enjoyed tinkering in his garage, working on projects with his son such as hobby cars; going mushroom hunting with his family; going down to the river to fish and play on the boat. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son in-law Jason Barr.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years Teresa (Moses) Cox whom he married on January 3, 1977, his son Jeremy (Shauna) Cox, a daughter Stephanie Cox Barr, brothers, Colyn (Cheryl) Cox, Calvin (Kathie) Cox, sisters, Shelby Cox, Sara Cox, grandchildren, Tate Bolenbaugh, Whitley Barr, Mia Carter, Rylan Cox, Brynlee Cox, Uncle Buck (Janice) Wright and several other nieces, nephews and other family.
Graveside services will be held at the Westlawn Cemetery in Farmersburg Westlawn Chapel at 1:00 p.m. on Friday May 6, 2022 with pastor Norman Santus officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Holmes Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery.
