Obituary

 

Steve Meier, 69, of Sullivan, passed away on Monday May 2, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on December 13, 1952 to Sheldon Meier and Jennie (Yates) Meier.  Steve was a 1971 graduate of Sullivan High School, and had worked for Prudential Life Insurance.  He was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle and a friend to all who knew him. Steve was the former owner of Indiana Honey Inc. He was a Nascar fan, antique collector, and a photographer.  He enjoyed flea markets, camping, taking care of his yard, but most of all spending time with his grandchildren.  Steve had attended the Assembly of God Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Paul, Charles, Bill, Don, Sheldon Jr., Jerry Meier, his sisters, Catherine Mason, Betty Chenoweth, and Linda Tryon.

 

Surviving are his daughter Samantha (Jedidiah) Cox of Graysville,

grandchildren, Roslyn Meier, Jacob Meier, Adalynn Cox, Vivian Cox, a brother Jim Meier of Worthington, sisters Mary Mitchell of Cloverdale, Roberta Jean McCammon of Hannibal MO, several nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

 

Services for Steve will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday May 7th, 2022 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Pastor Richard Williams officiating.  Visitation will be on Friday the 6th, from 4-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Center Ridge Cemetery. If friends so desire Memorial contributions may be made to the Master's Class. Envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.
