Sullivan,
Thomas ‘Tom’ Edward Dreher, 75, of Haubstadt, IN, entered into his eternal rest, on January 1, 2023. He was presently a resident of Haubstadt, IN, previously a long time resident of Sullivan, IN, where he raised his family. Tom was born September 13, 1947, to Edward and Jean (Wilbur) Dreher in Terre Haute, IN. He married his wife, Lana Monk on July 29, 1972 and they celebrated 50 years of marriage this summer.
Tom was a 1966 graduate of Wiley High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War. He went on to work for Pfizer’s, from which he retired. He was a member of the Sullivan VFW #2459, American Legion #139 and the Sullivan Elks Club #911. Preceding him in death are his parents, also brother Frederick Dreher.
Surviving him are his wife, Lana Monk Dreher, daughters, Jody (Ronald) Robinson, Jennifer (Kevin) Spindler; grandchildren, Amelia and Robert Robinson, Elizabeth (Grant) Holzmeyer, Emily, Eva and Elliott Spindler.
He leaves a huge hole in the hearts of his family and those who loved him. They will miss his endless chatter and his never meeting a stranger, no matter where they went. His lovingly calling everyone “Hon” or “Buddy” will also be missed. His favorite place to visit was the ‘Happiest Place on Earth’ Disney World, with his family by his side. He was a true avid sports fan, particularly keeping up with the Cardinals, Colts and Pacers. He defiantly loved all sports. His world revolved around his children and grandchildren, they lit up his world and his love was endless for them.
There will be a celebration of Tom’s life on Saturday, January 14, 2023, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm (Eastern Time) at the VFW #2459, 201 W Illinois St. Sullivan, IN 47882 Holmes Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
