Tom Stewart, 70, of Sullivan passed away on Wednesday July 17, 2019 at his residence. He was born on May 27, 1949 in Paw Paw Michigan to Herbert Keith Stewart and Mary (Gilkey) Stewart. He was a 1967 graduate of Sullivan High School and had gone on to ISU. He was a self employed plumber in the Sullivan county area for years and a member of the Crossroads Community Church. Tom loved his family with all his heart. You could not find a more loving, caring and compassionate man anywhere. You will be incredibly missed. Preceding him in death are his parents and a brother Bill Stewart.
Survivors include his daughters, Kelly Hawkins of Terre Haute, Lindsey (Fernando) Alandia of Elmhurst IL, their mother Sue (Brooks) Stewart, a brother Robert (Sherry) Stewart of Mooresville, a sister Julie (Tom) Adams of Evergreen CO., grandchildren Mikalyn Hawkins, Sebastian & Gabriela Alandia, Fiance, Lisa Stepro, his second family, Travis (Kristi) Stepro, Sarah (Mike) Jacob, Audrey Jacob, Isaac Jacob, Jennifer Inman, Max Inman and Cora Samm.
Services to celebrate Tom’s life will be at 1:00p.m. on Saturday July 20, 2019 at the Crossroads Community Church with Rev. Eddie Hammond officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00a.m. until the time of services. Holmes Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements. The family suggest that if friends so desire memorial contributions may be made to the Sullivan County Humane Society or the Crossroads Community Church.
