Virginia Lee (Frakes) Ashcraft

Virginia Lee Ashcraft, 89, of Sullivan passed away on Saturday January 23, 2021 at Breckenridge Nursing Home. She was born in Sullivan County on May 4, 1931 to Herby Frakes and Hazel (Marts) Frakes.  She was a 1968 graduate from Sullivan High School and was a member of the 1st Baptist Church in Sullivan.  Virginia loved genealogy, her family and her church. She was preceded by her parents, husband Henry Debbs Ashcraft,  son Ted Ashcraft, and a brother Billy Ray Frakes.

Survivors include her son Tom (Kathy) Ashcraft of Jasper, step son Jim (Darlene) Ashcraft of Bristol IN, daughter Margaret (Jim) Rogers of Sullivan,  step daughter Pat  (Bob) O’Banion of LaPorte IN,  a brother Jim Frakes of Noblesville,  a sister Betty Butler of Sullivan,  a daughter in-law Margie Ashcraft of Potomac IL, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday January, 26, 2021 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Pastor Bret Cox officiating.  Visitation will be from 12 noon until the time of services.  Burial will be at Center Ridge Cemetery.
