Virginia Knotts, 87, of Sullivan passed away at the Glenburn Nursing Home on January 22, 2020. She was born in Sullivan County on January 20, 1933 to Merse Lisman and Kathryn (McComas) Lisman. She was a 1951 graduate of Carlisle High School was a self employed Beautician and a member of the 1st. Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband William Knotts in June of 2014, a brother William Bill Lisman, sisters Betty Feldmeyer, Anna Haltom, and a great granddaughter Mya Stearley.
Survivors include her son Brett (Dee) Knotts of Carlisle, a daughter Debbie Phegley of Sullivan, sisters Gail Rollins of Indianapolis, Carolyn Harcourt of Avon, Patty Brummett of Bloomington, Grandchildren, Marcy (Ryan) Bell, Melissa (Nathan) Stearley, Cole Knotts, great-grandchildren Calli, Lyndee and Penelope Stearley.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday January 27, 2020 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev. David Lisman officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-6:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery. The family suggest that if friends so desire memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church Children's Ministry, 105 N Broad St Sullivan IN 47882, envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.
